Wristbands and Other Stuff
To help promote the Heartbeat, I purchased wristbands to sell, and I plan to promote "Gift of Being" T-shirts and clothing that confronts people with the question "What are you doing with the gift of being?" I think that would be very powerful. I imagine various flowers going with the words.
Possible uses of the wristbands
I use the wristbands to remind me to try to make the best most loving use of my time. Sometimes when I am actively doing my Heartbeat hours, I turn them inside out to the "What is the best, most loving use of your time, right now?" question. Alternatively someone could switch the arms that the put them on. Of course, another benefit is that someone might see the wristband and ask you about the program. I also think that it would be nice for people who are inviting others to offer them a wristband along with their offer of personal support. I do think that people who aren't doing the Heartbeat shouldn't wear the wristband. (For similar reasons I don't like when people wear crosses as mere jewelry, or any other religious symbols. ) It dilutes the significance.
